This report is a compilation of corrections related public health concerns researched, investigated, and documented over a 2-year period with the most recent concern, specific to COVID-19, added this year to complete this cumulative report. The report outlines three focus areas in which the ACLU-MO has directed its attention. Based on receiving more than 2300 complaints annually, upon which these 3 focus areas were prominently identified as systemic issues, this project was initiated by the ACLU of Missouri’s Legal Department and developed by staff and interns of the Intake Complaint Unit (ICU).
