Want to make a difference in the next election? Vote.
Get registered to vote. If you’re already registered, be sure your address is current.
Sounds simple, but more than half of the voting age public hasn’t done it yet.
Already registered (maybe the last time you were at the DMV)? Have you moved within the past couple years? Be sure that your address is current before the next election.
If you have internet access, you can take care of either problem: become a registered voter or update your address on an existing voter registration.
Missouri is one of 38 states to offer online voter registration so you don’t have to make an extra trip to the DMV.
Let’s face it, not many people have the time to take off work or want to stand in line for that. Sign up through the Missouri Secretary of State website.
Where Can I Register?
Missourians interested in registering online (or updating outdated voter information) can go to the Go Vote Missouri page on the Secretary of State’s website:

How Does It Work?
In about five minutes, individuals can fill out the application. The online form will walk through the requirements to become a registered voter – citizenship, residency, and age – to help the user understand the process. If all requirements are met, a few simple clicks and a button to submit are all it takes. In a few days, that person will receive a letter at their mailing address approving the application. Congratulations! A new registered voter is ready to do their civic duty.
Can I Do This on My Phone or Tablet?
Yes! The Missouri voting registration website will scale to smaller screens and works with both Android and Apple operating systems.
Can Missouri Do Anything to Improve This System?
Many efforts have been made to ensure the website and voter registration form is responsive and accessible, but room for improvement remains. Missouri should do everything it can to modernize its voting website and ensure a good user experience that is also friendly for those with disabilities. States such as California designed their voting website in a way that feels much more familiar and usable for tech-friendly Missourians.
