Jon joined the ACLU of Missouri as a voting rights fellow in February 2023. He is tasked with working to protect and expand the ability of Missourians to exercise their right to vote.

He is a St. Louis-area native and attended St. Louis Public Schools for most of his primary education. After completing his undergraduate degree from Truman State University in 2011, Jon served as an artillery officer in the U.S. Army for seven years, which included two combat deployments to Afghanistan. Between his discharge and starting law school, Jon interned with the Community Engagement section at the ACLU of Missouri.

While at Washington University Law School, Jon completed internships in the areas of criminal defense and federal habeas corpus relief. After graduating and passing the bar, he worked for the Missouri State Public Defender and in workers’ compensation. He is licensed to practice law in the states of Missouri and Illinois, the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Missouri, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 8th Circuit.
