Jason Orr joined the ACLU of Missouri as a Staff Attorney in the Kansas City office in March 2023. As a part of the litigation team, he is involved in all aspects of the legal process, from case investigation and initiation, discovery, research and writing, oral argument, through trials and appeals in both state and federal court. He also serves as a legal resource for the ACLU of Missouri’s legislative and policy work.
Following law school, Jason clerked for a Jackson County, Missouri Circuit Court Judge in Kansas City. Since that time, he has practiced law in Pennsylvania, Kansas, and Missouri, in general litigation with practice areas ranging from real estate, employment, municipal liability, product liability, healthcare, guardianships, and Medicaid.
Jason graduated from the University of Kansas in 2001, where he received a Bachelor of Arts, and from the University of Notre Dame in 2004, where he received his Juris Doctorate and studied in the University’s London Law Program from 2002-2003. He is a member of the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association and of the bars of Missouri, Kansas, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia.
Jason lives in Kansas City, Missouri with his wife and two young sons.
